Cable Specification Editor
In today’s Spatial Engineer 11 video tutorial, we explored the functionality of the Cable Specification Editor. This powerful tool allows users to specify cables with varying gauge sizes within the same sheath, catering to specialized needs such as power cables. To utilize this feature, users access the Cable Specification Editor via the DBA module or the copper fiber dropdown, navigating to the co-configuration section under the file menu. The process involves adding, editing, or deleting cable specifications within the database. For demonstration, we added a new record for a cable sheath containing both 19 gauge and 24 gauge wires in the first two pairs, showcasing the editor’s capability to customize cable configurations. This tutorial highlights the ease with which users can manage cable specifications, ensuring modifications like gauge variations are efficiently saved and utilized within the system, thus enhancing project customization and flexibility.
